Last Sunset of Winter – Heart of the Sawtooths ©

Sunset on the last day of Winter deep in the Sawtooth Wilderness. It is the third night of a six-day winter ski tour, and after three-plus hours of waiting for the sun to set for the last time during Winter the pinkish gray clouds turn to gold as light disappears. Dead center at the base of the shot is Ebert Peak. In the back row (front left-right) the heart of the Sawtooth interior present themselves – Pyramid, Packrat, Monte Veritas, and Warbonnet.
